Whether you currently hold a volunteer role within your chapter or are considering one, look no further than our Chapter Leadership Institute, what we fondly refer to as CLI. 

This annual summer event takes place in mid-July. It brings together current and new chapter officers, individuals interested in becoming a chapter officer, and members of ALA’s Board of Directors and Chapter Resource Team for three days of networking and collaborating.

We’ll be gathering for the 2024 CLI in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. Volunteers and aspiring leaders from ALA chapters will convene at the Marriott in Salt Lake City from July 18-20 to learn, network and engage with members of ALA’s Board of Directors and Chapter Resource Team.
