ALA’s Meeting of Minds (formerly known as Idea Exchanges) enables participants to network extensively, discuss, debate and dissect best practices and topical issues within legal administration.
- Listen as seasoned legal management professionals discuss in detail their successful practices.
- Identify key takeaways that you can implement immediately in your law firm.
- Network with the best of the best in legal administration.
Meeting of Minds sessions will take place throughout the course of the conference.
Deep Dives
To meet the demand for higher-level content, ALA is pleased to offer “deep dive”
sessions at #ALAConf20. Intended for more experienced attendees, Deep Dives are
cohesive and interactive sessions that allow for a more focused, in-depth exploration
of a subject than is possible in regular sessions.
First Five Live!
The First Five Community is a forum for legal management professionals in the
first five-ish years of their career. Conceived in 2018, it is a judgment-free zone that
enables professionals who are new to the legal industry or new to managing to
become seasoned, well-rounded leaders in this field. First Five Live! is an in-person
opportunity to advance your skill set in a collaborative, supportive environment. Come prepared to
talk freely and have frank, open discussions for maximum value!
Meet-Ups
The connections you make and the relationships you nurture while at Annual
Conference are as important as the content and educational sessions. Yet we
understand that large-scale conferences can be overwhelming — even daunting —
if you are attending alone.
#ALAConf20 Meet-Ups allow you to enjoy the benefits of networking in a smaller group setting. With
a combination of small-group gatherings around specific topics and local fun activities that allow
you to get a taste of Salt Lake City, they’ll help you to get the most out of your time at the conference!
Postconference Program: PI Project Planning: Preparing for Green Belt Candidacy
This brand new workshop is designed to guide participants through the development of a project plan and prepare them to lead a successful project. It is specifically designed as a pathway to Green Belt candidacy and open to Master Black Belts and any Yellow Belt in Legal Lean Sigma® Process Improvement and Project Management certified by the Legal Lean Sigma Institute LLC.
Included in the separate course registration fee is a complimentary consultation call with a member of the Legal Lean Sigma Institute faculty to help you identify, narrow, and/or select your project as well as a Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment.
