Member Experience Committee


Purpose:

This committee will be strategic with ongoing work to improve the member experience for engagement, recruitment, and retention. 
 
Expectations and Responsibilities: 
  • Attend regular meetings via video conference.
  • Prepare plan of work and mid-year report on progress for Board approval.
  • Collaborate with Member Ambassador Committee with relevant materials, findings, and reports. 
Qualifications and General Responsibilities: 
  • Engaged in ALA and understands the value of ALA. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Positive attitude. 
  • Professional and collaborative. 
  • Analyze member demographics.   
  • Deliver quarterly reports noting trends. 
  • Identify member needs and recommend benefits, educational and professional development, and programs to engage and increase member value. 
  • Determine nonmember needs in order to attract and recruit new members. 
  • Assist in recommending opportunities in the legal industry for recruiting subject matter experts and growing ALA’s general membership.  
 Construct:  Size: 7–9 volunteers

Call for Volunteers: Annually, Summer 

Selection:  Fall

Term: 2-year staggered term
