Member Experience Committee
Purpose:
This committee will be strategic with ongoing work to improve the member experience for engagement, recruitment, and retention.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Attend regular meetings via video conference.
- Prepare plan of work and mid-year report on progress for Board approval.
- Collaborate with Member Ambassador Committee with relevant materials, findings, and reports.
Qualifications and General Responsibilities:
- Engaged in ALA and understands the value of ALA.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive attitude.
- Professional and collaborative.
- Analyze member demographics.
- Deliver quarterly reports noting trends.
- Identify member needs and recommend benefits, educational and professional development, and programs to engage and increase member value.
- Determine nonmember needs in order to attract and recruit new members.
- Assist in recommending opportunities in the legal industry for recruiting subject matter experts and growing ALA’s general membership.
Construct: Size: 7–9 volunteers
Call for Volunteers: Annually, Summer
Selection: Fall
