What's Happening at Headquarters September 2019

The proposed bylaw amendment to eliminate the Associate Membership category was approved at the end of July. The bylaws stipulate that amendments may be adopted by a majority of eligible members casting ballots — ultimately, 303 voters were in approval while 165 were opposed. About 6% of Regular Members cast a vote; of those, 65% were in favor of the proposed amendment.

Now, former Associate Members will be considered Regular Members — and will therefore be able to serve on the Board of Directors and to vote on future bylaw amendments. Check out the new bylaws and the FAQs about this amendment.
