Organizational Pricing Program Terms and Conditions
The membership term is January 1 through December 31 of the calendar year.
Nothing changes regarding the benefits and access that your current membership provides if participating. However, if you change employers prior to January 31, 2026 your membership will revert back to individual status and you will billed for the 2026 membership year. Otherwise your benefits and voting rights remain the same.
Organization will assign one individual to act as the account's primary contact and administrative liaison. This individual will invite new employees to join the program, review rosters, process annual dues remittance and provide feedback on the program for the entire organization. The primary contact must be a member of ALA.
It’s important to know who your primary contact is for your Organizational Pricing — that primary contact is responsible for managing your firm’s Organizational Pricing roster and communicating the Organizational Pricing process to each member on the roster. Don’t unnecessarily pay your dues or pay twice! If your organization is participating in Organizational Pricing and you enroll as an individual member, we will not be able to refund your individual dues payment. Our Membership team is available to answer any questions and offer guidance at [email protected].
Only one billing contact may be designated to receive and process the annual dues notice. The organization may identify one separate individual to receive and process the billing instead of the primary contact. If a separate individual is not designated, the primary contact will receive and process annual dues billing. The billing contact must be a member of ALA.
All employees, regardless of title, at the organization's locations worldwide are eligible to participate based on ALA membership criteria.
Currently participating organizations who remain eligible for participation in the following calendar year will be asked to confirm their worldwide attorney count, primary and billing contact emails and then automatically billed.
Participating organizations pay a single total dues rate for an unlimited number of members. ALA requires a minimum number of members for a firm to participate in Organizational Pricing. New members may be added at any time during the calendar year.
The yearly dues rate is based on a) organization type; and b) the number of attorneys worldwide, and is the basis for the annual dues statement provided by ALA.
Dues payments for the calendar year membership term are due by January 1 of the current term. Initial organizational applicants with no current ALA members will be activated upon dues payment.
Dues are considered earned upon receipt and are nonrefundable. If your organization is participating in Organizational Pricing and you enroll as an individual member, ALA will not be able to refund your individual dues payment.
Payment plans are not available for organizational pricing.
Organizations who enroll for an upcoming term and subsequently cancel participation or fail to make payment will be converted to the full individual dues level per individual member. Once converted back to individual membership and billed the organization will have to wait until the next open enrollment period to participate.
Organization will have access to a roster of members based on current membership data and accessible through primary contact's ALA account profile online. Primary contact will review roster periodically for accuracy and advise ALA of changes. Roster inquiries may be directed to [email protected].
All benefits of membership for each participating individual are equivalent to individual member benefits as published on alanet.org.
Members covered under organizational pricing are not eligible to earn complimentary webinars for member referrals within their own organization.
Participating organizations may leave the program upon written notice to [email protected].
